Empowerment
Gender Equity
Women Spaces Africa acknowledges that gender equity and enhanced economic empowerment for girls and young women with disabilities enable them and their families to achieve greater independence and power. This is done by addressing the main barriers to their inclusion and active participation in key economic processes and structures.
Under this pillar, we seek to transform the position of girls and young women with disabilities into key contributors of ecomonic growth and development. This has been identified as one way of reducing their exploitation, marginalization and vulnerability. Women Spaces Africa delivers this through skill building and coaching to equip them with basic knowledge to appreciate their potential.
